CREATOR or CREATIVE

Often people confuse the action of creating with the characteristics of creativity. “Creativity” and “creative” are words used in the human evaluation of a result. A work of art, a new process, a theory of reality, a new design, etc. are all results of what we are “creating.” Our culture evaluates our results and then labels the result creative.

Actually, each of us is extremely creative in the sense that every moment of every day each of us is creating our Self and our lives – our ultimate work of art is our SELF and our LIFE. We are the Creators of life! The choices we make create the life we have. We choose the thoughts we think, the feelings we feel, the actions we take. With the power invested in our choices we are literally the Creators of our existences weaving the threads of ideas, thoughts, feelings and actions each day.

 Being Creator is the ultimate goal of Life for each of us.

Owning our role as Creator is an awesome responsibility, one that many people resist. The procrastination of being Creator is the single greatest cause for unhappiness. People give up control to their existence, their life to other people, situations, problems, etc. People live lives as tumbleweeds blowing with the winds of life – whenever a “wind” blows into their lives, they move with that current trend.

Is it immaturity, fear or laziness that causes people to not consciously create their lives? I believe it is a combination of all these factors dominated by ignorance. Not knowing how to be the Creator is the biggest factor in people not living the lives they desire. They just don’t know how to create what they want to experience! Some people do not even recognize that they have the power to change their lives. Until the idea that one can consciously change crosses the awareness of the individual, he/she is stuck in a perspective of recreating the existence they have unconsciously accepted as the way for them.

What about the Creator? The Creator is the person who recognizes that what exists right now is not necessarily the reality forever. We exist in an ever changing, dynamic environment. To resist change is a waste of energy and time. To recognize the direction of change is optimal.

A Creator knows she is responsible for what she gets from life – all of it, without exception. She may not know how or why she created what she got, but she accepts the reality that what she gets is hers and owns it and learns from that reality. Owning all that one attracts into her life to explore, dissect, rearrange, manage and enjoy is the mark of the mature Creator.

Where are you on the spectrum of Creating? Is the concept that you get what you get in life based on your consciousness a new concept to you? If so, consider the power and control over your existence that putting yourself in the role of Creator automatically gives you! You are no longer held hostage to the circumstances you are currently experiencing. Immediately moving to a Creator perspective puts you in control of you and the choices in your life.

Being in control of your choices means you are responsible for the consequences of your choices. Reflecting on your past experiences, you will notice that you have always been responsible for your choices, but you gave yourself the option to blame others, circumstances, etc. whenever your choices/actions did not work out the way you expected.

As Creator, you live the responsibility for the workings of your choices and actions. You know that in your imperfection operating in an ever-changing world with other imperfect humans, sometimes you will achieve your desired results, other times you will fail. That’s LIFE! But, you also know you will develop your powers of discernment about people, relationships, circumstances, opportunities to refine your choices to optimize the results you get. When you thoroughly integrate your responsibilities as Creator in your life, you are FREE to live your life YOUR way – a FREEDOM ONLY YOU CAN GIVE TO YOUR SELF!
