TRANSITION: Year Ending, Year Beginning
Before facing our New Year energies to create dreams and plans for our future, we must close the current year ending. Closing the door to the past is an important completion so we do not drag old, inappropriate energies from last year into our new year.
All the Blessings and Challenges you experienced have served to develop who you are today. Yes, the good, the bad and the ugly have served you to grow you into the current version of your Self. You experienced health, wealth, wisdom, peace, love and joy across the spectrum of possibilities of human existence. You have used your experiences to mature your spirit, your thinking, your feeling and your physical existence in ways you could not have consciously engineered.
Expressing gratitude for transformations big and small is enormously important as you endeavor to live the life of the master of your existence. Take the time now to express your gratitude for your growth and transformations in your life in the following areas: Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Physical.
In your journal, make two columns. Put a minus symbol at the top of the first column and a plus symbol at the top of the second column. Now, list the negative and the positive experiences of your current year.
Review your list. On another journal page, write "My Gifts from (Current Year Ending)" at the top. Look for the kernel of value you gained by living through each experience listed in your negative column. List all the things you learned about life during this year, about people, places, new skills, new ideas, new ways of thinking, feeling and doing. Anything and everything you remember goes on this list.
Take a deep breath, close your eyes and visualize the current year as a personality, a person with whom you can communicate. Express your gratitude for the opportunites and situations you had last year. Acknowledge the difficulties and the joys experienced. Thank the current year for the opportunities presented and experienced. Close the door on your current year, carrying the gratitude and the gifts learned and earned.
Turn your attention to a doorway labeled New Year Beginnings. Take a deep breath, close your eyes and visualize the new year as a personality with whom you can communicate. Express your anticipation of the opportunites and experiences that will show you how you can change and grow. Sense the energies of the new year. Ask how you can cooperate with these new energies to accomplish the goals you want to achieve. Take a deep breath. Express your willingness to work with the new year energies to make this year the best ever! Thank the new year beginning as you look forward to new people, new places and new experiences in your life!
Take a deep breath and allow your attention to return your focus to the present place where you are. Open your eyes. Record your experience.
