MOTHER MAY I . . . MANIFEST?

Uncategorized May 17, 2018

I was reminded of a child’s game called “Mother May I?” as I prepared this post on manifestation for May. Mother May I is a game in which young children ask to step, jump, cartwheel, etc. to move forward toward the “Mother” of the game. Participants cannot move unless given permission by the “Mother.”

Does this game mimic an unconscious protocol we require for our creation process? When considering the changes necessary within the spiritual, mental, emotional and spiritual energies of any emerging project, if I stop at each step to ask someone or something outside myself for permission to take each step, obviously I’m delaying or stalling any progress toward manifestation.

What I have noticed during decades of working with clients who want to learn how to generate more money, better relationships, better health and more business, one fundamental obstacle to changing consciousness is rooted in a perspective and perception requiring parental approval.

For a moment, think about that idea. Is it possible that you could have developed a core value that requires outside approval and be entirely unaware that value exists? Whether you were the golden child or the rebel troublemaker, children seek to be seen and heard by parents. Visibility in some way legitimizes existence for many people.

So, what’s this got to do with your manifestation? Lots! If you have a core vibration that resonates with the need for outside approval, you are sabotaging your Self, especially your ability to manifest anything unless others agree with you that it’s okay! If you are continually asking for feedback from others about what you’re doing and how you’re doing it, you are basically asking permission from others and/or your circumstances to proceed toward the goal. I can this the “I’ll do it when . . . happens!”

What if our primary purpose in this existence is to manifest our best Self as the sovereign of our Being? What if the individuality that we notice others expressing represents the options available to what it means to be human? What if we came into this life, not to seek agreement from others but to recognize and experience our individuality manifested as our experiences in life? To consider yourself as a whole Being, one who is complete just as you are, can be a first step to enhancing your self-esteem, self-reliance, self-responsibility and self-confidence in the world.

People who do not require agreement from others or the world to manifest dreams can initiate projects even while the naysayers are spewing out negativity. Masters of life recognize failure as mere steps in the manifestation process giving feedback information about what works and what doesn’t. The truth is our human experience continues to show us individually and collectively that we are magnificently powerful Beings at creating and manifesting our goals.

Years ago, two statements became instrumental for my progress toward my wholeness. The first is “We come in alone and go out alone in life.” This is the truth about our existence as humans. The second statement is “Your opinion of me is none of my business.” Often our emotional bodies are in the habit of pleasing other people and circumstances without our conscious awareness or consent. In other words, we develop a habit to avoid criticism, judgment and conflict which may be rooted in a need for outside approval. When doing something over and over, it becomes a habit in which no conscious choice involved.

I suspect everyone has remnants of outside approval frequencies from their childhood. Try using these two statements. As you release dependence on outside approval, you will strengthen your self-reliance and wholeness. This does not mean you stop seeking information from others. It means you gather information, you listen to what’s important to others when expressing their opinions, but your choices and decisions are yours alone, because you are the one living your life.

Being consciously aware of what you will have and won’t have allows all your energies to focus like a laser on the projects you consciously choose to manifest and experience in life. And that’s what manifestation is all about!
