Like me, do you ever wonder why we celebrate what we celebrate? Wishing you the “luck of the Irish” in March is an interesting tradition full of images of 4-leaf clovers, rainbows, leprechauns, pots of gold, horseshoes, etc.
Spring is traditionally the time of new beginnings. We have hibernated generating ideas all winter long, waiting to plant the seeds of our plans that have survived the harshness of analysis.
Luck, it is said, is 99% perspiration and 1% expectations. So, what does that mean for the seeds of your new plans for this year? Now is the time to be planting your seeds in the rich soil of reality and water liberally with your emotional energies – your desire to see the birth of your plans into this reality.
Notice the 4 leaves of the clover. Do they represent each of the four basic energies of creation: spiritual, mental, emotional, physical? Is the communication telling us that each leaf is required to generate the “luck” we associate with having our “gold at the end of the rainbow”? Is our destiny ruled by the amount of luck we generate for ourselves?
If so, how do we generate luck if 99% is perspiration? We generate movement or motion relative to our plans. We take the action steps necessary to produce the results we envision. Day after day after day, we watch our plan move toward the fulfillment of our picture, just as we watch a child grow into adulthood.
Here’s wishing you the Luck O’ the Irish!
